Blooploader 0.6 running on Hardy. Currently available only via subversion.

For our Linux users, you can safely update to Ubuntu Hardy if the one thing holding your breath was compatibility with the Blooploader.

Currently we run the Blooploader in Linux from source, you just need to have installed, Qt4, sip4, and PyQt4 on your machine. If you are an Ubuntu user this translates to:

1. Checking out the source from our subversion repository
2. sudo apt-get install python-sip4 python-qt4 python-qt-4-common
3. ./run

For those of you that want to try the Blooploader in Ubuntu, and you have no clue on how to use the command line, we promise we’ll have a new .deb installer for our next release now that Hardy has enabled binary packages on their repository for all our dependencies.

You can also hear a pretty sick recording of the concert played here in New York, Coney Island last summer. I don’t know how they recorded it, but it sounds pretty decent for being recorded from the crowd. It’s cool to hear it, makes you feel as part of the crowd. Can’t wait for them to come back, won’t miss their next concert.

Funny Detail if you hear both concerts
One funny thing, is that it almost seems as if they were playing exactly the same tracks on both concerts, no improvisation of any kind. For all we know, the Real Daft punk could be at home, they send a couple guys with helmets, play a long ass audio file, and do an awesome light show… whatever it is, it’s an awesome party with all that people around you dancing to the loud music and crazy light show.

Today after being the recommended by “El Nacional” we went for a stroll to Caraqueando.com (which had the feature story on the same page we were mentioned) and we had the pleasant surprise of seeing the MyBloop.com music player featured on their very home page.

MyBloop.com users and friends from Venezuela notify us today, Sunday March 16th 2008, that MyBloop.com has been recommended on a small blurb on El Nacional, the most circulated and influential newspaper in Venezuela.
