Right now, it feels as though the leading consumer‑grade LLMs have reached, or are on the brink of reaching, human‑level intelligence.
We’re standing in a strange, exhilarating calm, like the eye of a hurricane, certainly seems like an inflection point.
The next generation of models could easily outstrip us, and the consequences are anyone’s guess.
One day, will we look back on this moment but I wonder if it will be like the last of the good or the bad old days.
